About The Event
North Star Health Collective is offering a 4-part live video training series on Sat. Apr. 18 and Sun. Apr. 19. These four 90-minute presentations will go over some basics for how you can care for your community in these times. They will focus on Hygiene, Basic First Aid, Emotional First Aid, and Respiratory Care.
You may have heard that North Star had planned to host a full 20-hour street medic training this weekend. Given the pandemic, we had to shift away from in-person, contact-based training. What we will share here is not a street medic training, but it offers a good base for a time when we can offer that in the future. It will cover some basic community care skills that are useful for communities in this time and, generally, in hopes of us all being more resilient in our own care.
